Best Buttermilk Birthday EVER

So the day finally came, and is slowly slipping away, but I have to say I am not disappointed in the least. Today has been one of the very best birthdays I can remember!

I woke up this morning and made myself a delicious bowl of oats. I wanted to make sure I started the day on the right foot!

This started out as a butter+jam bowl, and soon turned into a PB&B&J bowl. The jam just couldn’t stand alone without the peanut butter! It was absolutely divine all swirled together.

And then…

It was time for presents!

BAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my god. I cannot even begin to tell you how badly I wanted this to be my bday present.

Within twenty minutes, it had already found its home.

We decided to keep the bowl/attachments in the cupboard to keep them from getting dirty.

I looooove youuuuu.

But that wasn’t all. No, no, no. Buttermilk Boy really outdid himself this time. And he got…

AN ICE CREAM MAKER ATTACHMENT!!! I was absolutely over the moon when I saw this baby. I have about 50,000 ice cream recipes bookmarked (David Leibovitz is a genius) and I don’t care that it’s freezing outside. I will be making ice cream in the very, very near future.

And to top it all off, BB tossed in the Bible:

Went to class, had a delicious dinner with BB, and when I got back to my room, I had this waiting for me.

A big fat piece o’ cake.

So not only did I have an amazing day for myself, but one of my best friends got a JOB!!! As payback for bringing her good luck (you’re very welcome), she gave me this glorious slab of cake from one of our prized bakeries in town, Claire’s.

You can order a slice for about $4 (they’re HUGE!) and add extra frosting (buttercream, obvvviously) for about a dollar more. Worth every penny.

Now I’m watching Glee while writing a paper while getting some bagels started in my brand spankin’ new mixxa. Dough hook, here I come!
