To say it’s been a while would be an understatement. So let’s just pretend we all agreed on my little hiatus and start right where we left off, shall we?
One of the main reasons I stopped posting on BwB was a missing camera. Well, I’m still without my favorite point-and-shoot BUT I refuse to let that stand in my way any longer! Hello, iPhone camera. I love you.
So for now, I’ll be posting my daily eats and getting back into the swing of blogging little by little. Life has changed a lot since February (graduation, new apt, new job…) and I’m thinking my main focus will now be on how to maintain a healthy-yet-satisfying-and-cheap diet on a teacher’s schedule and salary.
Here’s a preview:
That would be a baked sweet potato with shredded cheddar cheese, BBQ chicken and corn with 8 lbs of roasted broccoli on the side. Oh and lots of smoked paprika. Awesome and cheeeeep.
(And yes, I am now teaching. Lord help me and my 4th graders.)
To start, breakfast this morning!
Nuked oats with banana, flax, cinnamon, crunchy sunflower seed butter and toasted coconut. I added the toasted coco because I like to feel fancy. It counterbalances the fact that I make my oatmeal in the microwave each morning.
Tall glass (x2) of iced coffee using Sbux Via–a combo of the regular stuff and the naturally sweetened iced stuff. Filled to the brim with unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze and topped off with a crazy stripey straw. Hey, it’s Sunday! Gotta celebrate somehow.
Heading out for a 5 miler today with ze Boy. Looks like a gorgeous day outside so it should be great if we survive!
